Field Trip

“Social Innovation Education is a collaborative and collective learning process for the empowerment and socio political activation of young people to drive social change no matter their professional pathways. It builds their competences to identify opportunities for social value creation, to form collaborations and build social relationships and take innovative action for a more democratic and sustainable society”.
Kalemaki et al, 2019

In a nutshell

What is it

Social Innovation Education aims to equip young people with the mindset and competences to envision and effect positive social change through collaboration and cooperation with people of all ages and backgrounds.

What does it require

Co-creation Labs are physical or virtual spaces where young people and adults meet to learn about Social Innovation Education. The only requirement is to have the motivation to make them happen.

How does it work

Through the participation of Co-Creation Labs, young people develop social innovation projects to address issues that are important to them, with the support of a diverse group of people.

But why

In today's fast-paced world, needs and skills are changing rapidly. Many young people are aware of social, economic, and environmental challenges. By developing skills to tackle them, they can become agents of change, regardless of the career path they pursue in the future.

The training

What we offer

The training on Social Innovation Education can be designed according to your needs and availability. The materials include a Handbook which serves as a guide for incorporating the Programme into your school and an Activity Bank with all the steps to go through the process.

All these resources have been designed by Educators themselves which understand the workload and time constraints of teaching.
